A fiduciary financial professional is legally bound to always do what is in the client's best interest, not their own. Most advisors are held to a suitability model rather than a strict fiduciary standard. We recommend products that are best for you, maximizing the potential return and providing fee transparency rather than using products that have hidden fees. Our fees are structured at 1.0% per year on account values up to $1,000,000. Account values above $1,000,000 are charged 0.75% for the amount that exceeds that threshold. Fees are paid quarterly in arrears, based upon the account value on the last day of the previous quarter.
If we recommend an insurance product such as an annuity, life insurance, or an asset-based long term care solution, we will disclose to you that there is a commission paid to us directly from the insurance company that provides the product. Because we are completely independent, we do not have an emphasis on sales quotas or annual production requirements so are able to avoid any conflicts of interest.
Annuities are available in a fee-only brokerage account or through a commission model. Diana will compare both to see which one makes more sense for you based on the total amount in fees that you would incur over a specified period of time as well as the potential for growth and safety.
We'll help you analyze both ideas and create reports for you that will help you decide. Many of our clients have found that they were able to retire sooner than expected, while some have decided to work longer than they had planned or downsize their living space and invest the proceeds from the sale of thier home.
